What we do
Six things, by one team: walk-in cold rooms, freezer rooms and blast freezers, commercial cold storage, shop fitting with display fridges, 24/7 repairs and maintenance contracts. We work for restaurants and takeaways, supermarkets and convenience stores, butchers and fishmongers, bakeries, food producers and wholesalers, and pharmacies, and the industries pages explain what each needs.
How we work
We start with a free site survey, because a cold room designed from a phone call is a cold room that does not fit. We design around what you store, how much and how it moves, and send a written, itemised quotation that names the panels, the door, the refrigeration unit and the work included, so you can compare it fairly. We install, commission and hand over, and then the same engineers service and repair what we built. When replacement is better value than repair, or a smaller room would do, we say so.
The team
Alaska Cold is a team of refrigeration engineers, installers and shop fitters based in London, with more than 25 years of commercial refrigeration experience between them.
Qualifications and registration
- Our engineers hold the F-Gas certification the law requires for handling refrigerant.
